‘I grew up in the UK and studied French and Italian at London University after a year in art school. I had a wonderful training in the National Health Service in London and loved the massive mix of people working there. My expertise in HR and Training in organisations grew as a member of the CIPD. My last job in the NHS was leading learning and development in 2 big London teaching hospitals with about 7000 employees.
I wrote and led middle managers’ programmes; I developed HR staff; I created a new interactive induction programme for staff, I ran women’s development programmes. I worked on projects to support staff at many levels as they merged from 2 organisations to 1. Fairness and inclusion at work has been a thread through all my work. I was known for my innovative approaches.
In 1998 I left the UK to go and live in France with my husband . As a freelancer, I led projects in the UK in health and education. I wrote and ran development programmes for BAME employees . With a colleague I created a distance learning pack for Board members about good diversity practice in employment and service provision.
My certification as a coach took place in Paris in French and I started to work as a coach in English and French. For 7 years I was on the board of a charity supporting people living with HIV in Montpellier. We adopted 2 sons from Brazil in 2007, and I became a full time mum. Our family moved from France to Sweden for 5 years and I volunteered as a lead for a women’s network in Goteborg.
Now we are based in Dusseldorf, Germany and I volunteer for another women’s network iwibdus.. We have enabled women to find jobs and helped develop their businesses .
I have relaunched my work here and my coaching focusses on working with leaders: I work in English or French or both. My clients are often from the international community in Germany and also from the UK, France and other European countries and the US – coaching works well via video- conferencing. The approach I use is based on the idea of life long learning and growth and I work with the whole person and their life – executive coaching and life coaching.
I also work on developing and delivering learning materials and on diversity and inclusion projects with international clients.
